Reports from South Korea confirm that Samsung, the biggest smartphone manufacturer in the world, is planning to launch Galaxy S7 smartphones just months after releasing the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, and Note 5 smartphones, which have proven to be big market contenders in the ever crowded smartphone industry.

Rumors suggest that the new Galaxy S7 series smartphone will come in two different designs: a flat screen version(5.2 inch) and a curved screen version(5.5 inch), which has been called the Galaxy S7 Edge. There has been no official release dates announced, but the reports say that the Galaxy S7 series will be released in early 2016, most likely by March.

It is stated that Samsung plans to initially release an astonishing 5 million units of these smartphones, 3.3 million of the flat screen version, and 1.6 million of the curved version. The smartphones are expected to come with an Octa Core Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm with other versions of the phone expected to have the Exynos 8890 processor, which is manufactured by Samsung itself.

Considering that the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, and Note 5 smartphones were especially advanced inventions, the new Galaxy S7 is rightfully projected to be on another whole different level as far as smartphones are concerned. Samsung has definitely made several improvements to the new series.

The new phone is believed to have cooling pipes to deal with heat issues of the processor. The Galaxy S7 will come with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection with an impressive 5.1 inch 4K display which will be super AMOLED with Force Touch WIZ UI. The device will have a 23MP primary camera and a front camera of 8MP which will come with a Dual Video call. The Galaxy S7 will have 4GB of RAM with internal storage of 32GB, 64GB or 128GB.It is fitted with 4,000 mAh battery with fast charging.

The graphics on the phone will be excellent considering it will be running an Adreno 530 or Mali-T880 MP12 graphics processing unit (GPU). As far as operating system goes, the device will run on the impressive Android v6.0 (Marshmallow OS). This powerful gadget will have support for 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, HSPA, GSM, v4.2 Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, GLONASS networks. The smartphone also comes with multiple sensors, such as Barometer, Proximity, Fingerprint, Gyro, Accelerometer, and Retina Scanner. The S7 is expected to have a Type-C USB port, popular with Google’s Nexus series and OnePlus2 smartphones.

The advanced hardware and powerful software integration techniques will certainly make the Galaxy S7 one of the best smartphones in the market — and, of course, one of the most expensive, too. The rumors estimate that the phone will cost around $800, with the Edge series expected to cost close to $900. Considering the specifications and advancements, it is worth every penny of that money.

Consumers will now begin the painful wait for the new series to be officially launched by Samsung, although the company itself has remained quiet about the Galaxy S7.
