Finding Dory ’s Trailer Premieres Online

The trailer of the much awaited animated movie Finding Dory was released on the Ellen Show which is hosted by Ellen DeGenerous

The much awaited trailer for Disney and Pixar’s superbly amazing underwater adventure, Finding Dory has arrived and it has taken the world of internet by storm. The movie revolves around the regal blue tang’s life who tries to discover her family in the movie.

The trailer was first shared by Ellen DeGeneres who voices the character of Dory. She shared the clip on her talk show’s video page, EllenTube. The trailer begins with Dory being Dory, swimming and talking in her sleep and waking up Marlin and Nemo while doing so. But suddenly, she wakes up and remembers something. “That’s not possible, is it?” she asks. And that is when she decides to go on a mission to find her family.

The cast of Finding Dory couldn’t get funnier

This installment of the movie is produced by Lindsey Collins and directed by Andrew Stanton. Finding Dory will feature Dory’s entire family with Diane Keaton as Dory’s mother ‘Jenny’, Eugene Levy as Dory’s father ‘Charlie’ and Kaitlin Olson as Dory’s sister ‘Destiny’ who is a whale shark.

Apart from them, the movie will also have Vicki Lewis as ‘Deb’, a four striped damselfish, Ed O’Neil as ‘Hank’ an octopus; Ty Burrell as ‘Bailey’, a beluga whale; and Willem Dafoe as ‘Gill’, a Moorish idol. The movie will also feature Dominic West and Idris Elba.

The new cast members who will be joining DeGeneres were first revealed in August at the Disney D23 Expo in Anaheim, California where Stanton also discussed why he wanted to make a sequel. “I wanted to know that if this charming, forgetful fish ever got lost again, that she would be OK, that she would find her way home,” the Stanton said. “And at the end of Finding Nemo, I wasn’t confident about that. So that’s when I knew I had another story.”

The movie will pick up just 6 months after the events of Finding Nemo but the sequel’s premise will focus on sea creatures going back to their wild habitat instead of an aquarium where Dory was born and raised. Ellen DeGeneres explained “I think that fish should be in the ocean… which is what this whole sequel is about: rehabilitation and putting them back in the ocean… And we have to protect our oceans.”

Ellen’s character Dory was first introduced in Finding Nemo as a friendly yet forgetful blue tang who helped Nemo find his way back home. And now, its Dory’s turn to find her family and home.

It’s been a long time since Finding Nemo

Though the trailer didn’t revealed much, but the constant forgetfulness of Dory and idealism of Nemo brought a sudden feeling of nostalgia. Yes, it’s been 13 years but the trailer proved that not a lot has changed with Nemo and Dory. Because the first movie was released a decade ago, most of Finding Nemo’s fan base has grown up and that only gives the sequel an edge. Since now, Finding Dory will attract both kids and adults.

The animated movie will be released on June 17, 2016 and it will be in 3D. The film will be produced by Pixar Animation Studios and releases by Walt Disney Pictures.
