The song has officially entered the millionaire’s club

Previously, Elton John’s single “Candle in the Wind” was the only song to sell more than 1 million copies in a week, but “Hello” seems to be pretty eager to defeat any records that come its way. According to Billboard, the amazingly talented British singer’s latest single has managed to sell 1.1 million copies in the week ending on October 29th. This makes this the only other song to go past a million sales in a week.

Elton John’s live version of the 1973 hit “Candle in the Wind” was a tribute to Princess Diana after her death. When the live version came out in 1997, it managed to sell 3.4 million copies in its first week and 1.2 million copies in the coming week. Jon, now a Knight of the British Kingdom, performed this song at Princess’s Diana’s funeral in September of 1997.

“Hello” is already climbing the charts everywhere

After dropping on October 23rd, “Hello” debuted as the No.1 song on Billboard Hot 100. But this was obviously no news for Adele since her latest track is actually her fourth song to top the charts. Currently, the top position on Billboard 200 is taken by Australian punk band 5 Seconds of Summer, who have sold 192,000 copies of their new song “Sounds Good, Feels Good”.

Although Adele, might take a little time to reach the top, we think she can absolutely take it.

This song was a welcome back song for Adele and she knew she had to come back with a bang. After her first album 21, she had only done one other song which was for the James Bond movie “Skyfall” and it was undoubtedly a beautiful melody.

The British Singer is 21 going on 25

After her debut album ‘21’, it wasn’t surprising to know Adele’s next album is titled ‘25’. Though her first album was about a guy who brutally broke her heart, her new album is about getting wiser, stronger and better.

With hits like ‘Rolling in the Deep’, ‘Rumour has it’ and ‘Someone Like You’, Adele blew everybody’s minds and bagged multiple Grammys.

Adele moved away from the limelight

While most of the celebrities try to find reasons to stay in the limelight, Adele always preferred to keep her private life, private. In fact, most of the media didn’t even know about her pregnancy until she was 6 months pregnant. And after that, she went completely off the grid to take care of her new born.

The British singer feels it’s time to get back to what she loves the most. The list of songs from her new album isn’t out yet, but her album 25 is expected to be out on November 20, 2015. Albums by Justin Bieber and One Direction will also be out around the same time so it will be interesting to see some of the biggest names in the music industry battle it out for the number one spot.
